If we don't meet, here are the best tips of my Paris nightguide :
NICE BARS IN THE 19TH ARRONDISSEMENT
(north east, around the canal de l’ourcq)
le barourcq
very nice and cosy bar in front of the ourcq canal
on the bank you can play petanque, a typical french game
trendy but laid back. Very nice on saturday and sunday afternoon when it’s sunny.
68 quai de la loire, m° laumière (line 7)
http://barourcq.free.fr/
le rosa bonheur
nice bar in the middle of a beautiful parc
packed with hipsters, gays and lesbians
perfect place for picnic on sunny days
open wednesday to sunday, 12am to 12pm
7 rue botzaris, parc des buttes chaumont, m° botzaris (line 7 bis)
http://www.rosabonheur.fr/
NICE BARS AND RESTAURANTS AROUND BELLEVILLE
(north east, next to belleville metro station) :
folie's belleville
a nice and cheap caffe
trendy but not snob, with a great terrace and a lot of funky people :
8, Rue de Belleville, metro belleville (line 2 and 11)
le zorba
next to the folie's belleville, another bar that has free concerts and parties in its cave on week-ends. Cheap drinks. Small but nice terrasse. Very casual, amost punky
137 Rue Fbg du Temple, metro belleville (line 2 and 11)
and next to those two bars, a simple but very good and cheap vietnamese restaurant : Dong Huong
14, Rue Louis-Bonnet, metro belleville
Tel : 01 43 53 42 81
you can also go to chez kiki, a very nice arabic restaurant. cheap couscous and meat/french fries, 9 euros ! and i think the beer is 2,50 euros. in the week-end, they sometimes close the door at 1am and organise very cool parties at the first floor.
NICE BARS IN THE RUE AMELOT
(north east, not far from republique metro station) :
pop in
good pop concerts for free on mondays and tuesdays.
A lot of young people from paris and abroad :
http://popin.fr/
105 rue amelot (metro filles du calvaire, line 8)
zero zero
good dj sessions from wednesdays to saturdays
next to the pop in. Better to go there after the pop in, at 11pm when people are drunk and excited.
be careful, most bars close at 2am in paris
www.myspace.com/zerozerobar
89 rue amelot (metro filles du calvaire, line 8)
in the week ends, you can also check les 4 elements, a bar/club with djs and a good soundsystem, but the place is not as raw and old school as the two first ones. It’s better to go there from 2am to 4am, when the pop in and the zero zero are closed.
149 rue amelot, metro filles du calvaire

CLUBS
point ephemere
nice place with a berlin atmosphere to have a drink and to go to concerts and dj sessions. Big terrace, great in summer
http://www.pointephemere.org/
200 Quai de Valmy, metro jaures (line 2, 5 and 7bis)
la fleche d'or
a former train station on a former railway that became a beautiful bar/concert room. Very parisian.
http://www.flechedor.fr/
102 rue de bagnolet, metro alexandre dumas (line 2) (then 10 minutes walk up the street)
le batofar
a nice club to go out and dance
it's my favourite club in paris. a red iron boat on the seine river with several spaces : terrace, bars and dancefloor. But check the line up first, it’s not always good.
http://www.batofar.org/
quai françois mauriac, metro bibliotheque françois mitterrand (line 14) or quai de la gare (line 6)
JAZZ BARS
All those bars are in the same street at metro chatelet, in the center of paris. Nice, but a bit expensive.

A BEAUTIFUL CHURCH + THE BANKS OF THE SEINE RIVER
La Sainte-Chapelle
Right in front of the metro Cité (line 4)
Go there on a sunny day, the coloured windows produce an amazing light :)
The Sainte-Chapelle is located on the Cité island, which is surrounded by beautiful banks with an amazing view on the Seine River. Great place for picnics !
