ABOUT ME
I'm easygoing and energetic at the same time. I like sharing and feeling a sense of community wherever I am. My current goal is to try and stay put for a year, but I'm restless! I like all sorts of people, and I'm accepting of most points of view. I deal with people all day at my job and like working there. I like making connections and I feel I'm understanding and patient. I moved to Tucson about a year ago and I'm enjoying all the live music, hiking, people, and bike lanes. I'm a fan of sunshine and saguaro, so I guess I'm in a good spot right now. I'm still turning over rocks and opening doors. All the hidden secrets of this town are well worth the search!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I go to meetings and hang-outs and I have a place to stay if you need it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I traveled all through West Africa (Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana) on the Peace Corps network. I hardly stayed in hotels on the entire trip, I was just staying with PCVs in their villages. It was exactly what I wanted out of the trip and traveling in general. I saw and learned so much more this way. And I constantly "couchsurfed" during my time in Senegal in the Peace Corps. I went through Europe with CS, meeting tons of amazing people. More recently, I've been going to the group meetings we have in Tucson. Pay it forward!

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes, please!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied in China and did research on the Tibetan high alpine plateau. Traveled through Europe to a dozen beautiful cities. Two years' Peace Corps service in Senegal and overland travel to so many other African nations. Riding a dinosaur. I've read the Bible and the Qu'uran. Worked at a Zoo(reptile, large mammal, small mammal, and show animal exhibits). I've been to the Great Wall, and a dozen other wonderful places in China. And, of course, I've been to the Grand Canyon!
Teach, Learn, Share
There is a long, long list of "have-not-done-yets." So if anyone has any desire to try something crazy, interesting, educational, ticklish, or weird, pass it by me.
As for me, I know some different types of dance, and a little about a few languages and cultures, anything biology-related, rock climbing, and who knows what else... I'm definitely willing to share.
