ABOUT ME

I am a reporter working right now in the beautiful little city of Belfast, Maine. I like to travel more than almost anything - I have backpacked/traveled in Europe, Africa, Central America, South America and North America. Most places I've gone I hope to get back to someday, and while traveling, I've always found that meeting regular people is the best way to go.
Sustainable traveling low on the food chain rocks!

Other than work and journeys, I like to balance silliness and seriousness in my life. I love reading, dancing, cooking, going to lovely lakes, hiking as much as possible and just joined an Ultimate Frisbee league. I love quiz games and am ferociously competitive about them. I love talking to interesting people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you are in Belfast, look me up! I am not able to host right now but perhaps could bring you to the best ocean-front pub in town or meet for coffee and some conversation about the neat things to do in the area. And I am often up for a hike.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some awesome chances to sleep on couches and meet really cool people in southern California thanks to this website. I have also unofficially slept on couches - and floors - in Honduras, Cuba, France, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, the U.K. and the Gambia, and always made friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something amazing I've seen was a meteor shower while sitting on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was so beautiful to see all those stars disappearing into the darkness of the canyon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can write and edit writing. I know a lot about wonderful things to do in Maine. I would like to practice Spanish and French with native speakers. I would like to learn Italian.
