About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do my small part to make this plannet a happier habitat

ABOUT ME

I live in Subiaco very close to the farmers market and heaps of cafes and restaurants. I am also close to Perth and Kings Park. I am a biologist, ecologist, naturalist type and I love the outdoors. I've traveled extensively through WA and Australia so if you have questions about places you would like to go or things you would like to see, I might have some good tips. There is so much to see and do here in WA!
I am originally from California, so if that is in your travel plans, I can point you to some good places. I previously Redwood National Park in Northern California. I love ecology, wildlife, caves, forests, beaches and all that good stuff. I am particularly fond of tidepools and seashells.
I have traveled to various parts of the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, New Zealand, Brazil, Nepal, and India.

PHILOSOPHY

Where do I begin? Um...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few and surfed a few couches through the project. I like being hospitable and meeting new people so that is why I am here. Couch surfing also gives me a chance to meet real nice people in other places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love couchsurfing! I have met so many wonderful people all over the world. I think my best experience so far was in Chattesgar, India with Shakeel, but it is hard to say there have been so many awesome people and places!

Interests

I am a keen naturalist: shell collector, tidepool enthusiast etc. I am educated in things marine ecology/invertebrate related, but I am also prone to botanizing, bird nerding, and mammal admiration. I love traveling and meeting new people as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove a toyota "ute" (pick-up) around the entire Australian continent.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about biology and ecology and taxonomy of local species. I love discussing those sustainable technologies too although I am not in the field.
