Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now hosted and surfed! I have had a great time with both experiences. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to participate in such a community building endeavor.

Interests

Steinbeck. I fell in love with him only after I left the blessed area. Photography. I am in love with trees, I guess as a student of them, that's the way it's supposed to be. A fan of urban planning and the California Forest Practice Rules. I did logging Sports in Undergrad, One time I placed 1st in a collegiate conclave for women's double bucking. Local Food. Road trips to great places. What a fun experience!
I love chaotic bon-fires with lots of new and old friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have the problem of starting too many books at one time. Currently reading: The Beauty Myth(N. Wolf), The Shock Doctrine (N. Klein), and The Myth of Sisyphus(A. Camus)
Last year I finished the "Twilight" Saga. Who knew I could read more than 2000 pages in under 3 weeks. Loved reading "Into the Wild" it reminds me to call home more often.
I am a 4 year fan of blue-grass and twangy rock/country. Bands that I would recommend in this genre: The Devil Makes Three, Hillstomp, The Bucky Walters just to name a few. Don't forget the Oly and some good Whiskey.
Some of the best times I have had with people are while watching movies. I tend to cry too much at love stories and talk back at the screen at terror/suspense films.
