CURRENT MISSION
To be happy where we are, for the moment !
ABOUT ME
Tricky one... we could say we are enthusiastic, friendly, open minded and easy going ... Julia is not all good though. Travelling made her discover that she could be quite selfish and complicated sometimes. And that she used to always hang around with the same kind of persons. She is definetly cooler than she used to be !!! A bit (lot) stubborn as well, and she finds it difficult to change plan when she has a precise idea of what she wanna do. She knows she can be manipulative and hates that side of herself. Working on it though! To lighten the painting she thinks she is quite honnest, faithful with friends and aware of her dark side.
Kevin is friendly and talkative although quite shy (he hides it well !). Very curious about the world and people, he is the positive side of the relationship, always ready to believe everythng is gonna be allright.
We met in Tibet, highest point on Earth, two years ago and seem not to ever climb down since !
PHILOSOPHY
Go for it !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
to be honest, not much.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Julia´s first couchsurfing was in Vietnam, weirdly enough. Her dad was so scared by the idea of his little daughter travelling alone in Asia that he asked one of his colleagues who is from Vietnam to get a friend picking me up at the airport. She ended up spending a week with the family of the conductor of Hanoi'opera. Great step into the country, right during the new year's festival. Sometimes you should listen to your parents.
Together we couchsurfed officially for the first time in November in Edinburgh where we met Linas, this incredibly great Lithuanian guy.
And from then the story went on... with Ligia and David in Porto, Alessandro in Barcelona, Anne & Mathieu in Clermont-Ferrand, Jean-Mi in Lausanne, Arnaud & Karine in Vars, Jacques in Cannes ...

Music, Movies, and Books
My idol right now is a swiss traveller-writer called Nicolas Bouvier. His first big trip was in the mid 50s, he was 23 and drove to India in an old Fiat Topolino. His writing touches me so much, as if he was in my own brain, explaining my feeling to myself with the best chosen words. I don't think I am that clear on this one...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Deciding to leave our home countries on our own to travel is, i think, the most amazing thing we have done so far, because it means more and it is way deeper than any skydive in bloody New Zealand!
But still : skydiving in NZ was wicked !!!! Reaching tiny islands in the middle of south Pacific blew me away. Realizing my childhood dream of galoping in mongolian steppe made me cry my eyes out. Getting lost in Beijing was quite a ride. Volontarilly missing a plane for a special someone was soooo romantic. Spending five days on a crappy boat to end up in paradise in the gulfe of Bengal was the most relieving experience. And finally facing Mount Everest, so clear under the moonlight, made me finally realize how LUCKY I was...
