About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find sweetness and joy in all things

ABOUT ME

I was blessed with a childhood full of travel and adventure, and feel everyone should get the opportunity to experience the world. It seems like couch surfing is a great way to make that happen.

Much of my time these days is taken up by my studies, but I love the feeling of community we have in our house, and enjoy sharing it with travelers.

I'm about sustainability, community, and walking a mile in someone's shoes.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm curious about everything and surround myself with people who are the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My house mates have had excellent times couch surfing while traveling, and have returned the favor to people coming through town. I help host: I can show you around the city.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been listening to much Arthur and Yu, Stevie Wonder, The Cave Singers, Amon Amarth, Beirut and Dolly Parton lately.

I generally read non-fiction these days. I just read "Scribbling the Cat" and adored it.

Coen Brothers movies rock my world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uhh, one? How about many: Sleeping on the ground alongside the Kafue river, listening to hippos call. Sharing a meal with a woman and her family in a hill village in Asia. Diving the red sea and the great barrier reef. Camping under stars in the desert. Walking through Markets all over the world, and smelling the raw ingredients, so much more tangible than the supermarket. Climbing mountains. Landing by prop plane on a red dirt runway in the African bush.

Teach, Learn, Share

Having grown up in Seattle, I always like to talk about the local history.

I can knit and love to teach.

I make a mean peanut sauce.

I can teach you everything I know about biology
