ABOUT ME

I'm a super easygoing person. I love trying new things, meeting new people and making friends, partying, reading, talking, dancing, listening to music, exploring.
I just returned home from a 10-month trip around Europe. It was an absolutely amazing experience and I think everyone should have the opportunity to travel. I am back at home now for a little while before I go off to Europe again. My next mission is to live in Italy for a year or two.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the ultimate goal in life is happiness. That sounds kind of cliched, but it's true. I believe that when a person isn't getting anywhere, or doing new things, they should change what they're doing. I know it's hard. It's human nature to want to stay doing the same things, even if they're routines we don't particularly enjoy. But the times when we make the most progress on ourselves, discover the most about ourselves, is when we break our habits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but amazing experiences with CouchSurfing. I've even made some really good friends out of it. I think it's a brilliant idea, and if the world were more like the CouchSurfing community, it would be a better place.

Interests

I'll try anything once. That's a lie. I'll try almost anything once. I'm a total social butterfly, I love being with people, talking to them and doing fun things with them. Most of the activities I love to do involve other people. That wasn't meant to sound dirty. I also love music, although I can't really play an instrument. I used to play the trumpet, but I kind of gave it up. I want to do it again someday. I'd love to learn another instrument as well. I enjoy dancing too, although I've never taken lessons. That's another thing I'd like to take up. I also love partying, which combines three of my favourite things (music, people, and dancing). (Oops, I mean 4 of my favourite things, how could I forget drinking? Silly me...)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love this part (I love making lists. I know that sounds weird). Movies: Amelie, Human Traffic, Trainspotting, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Point, Anchorman, Zoolander, Blow, The Pianist, Run Lola Run, Traffic, lots more. Movies that make me think about life and people. Or just ones that make me laugh.

Books: Anything by Hunter S. Thompson, David Sedaris, Ray Bradbury. Lots I can't think of. I love reading, although I don't do it nearly as much as I'd like to.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think my best skill is interacting with people. I'm an excellent and willing listener, and sometimes I even have pretty good advice for people. I am also a fantastic list-maker. And a master of the Rubik's cube. And I'm happy to teach it to anyone and everyone.
