ABOUT ME
I am a licenced attorney, currently switching careers. I like to cook, and will try to feed you something you'll like if you crash at my place. I moved to Louisville about 3 years ago after living in New York City for about 5 years. My experience traveling includes North America only so far but I'd like to go everywhere--my longest stays were in Mexico for 11 weeks and Guatemala for 10 weeks.
PHILOSOPHY
Take risks and leave a small footprint. Do what makes you and others happy, and try to improve the world every day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've mostly surfed close to home--Cincinatti and Chicago. It was fun! Update: I also met a bunch of people in Mexico via couchsurfing--that worked well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Infinite Jest, or anything by David Foster Wallace, Isabel Allende, Paulo Coelho, David Sedaris, J.M. Coetzee, V.S. Naipaul, lots of others. B-52s, Talking Heads, Roxy Music, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan. Any gangster movie--I particularly love Scorcese.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was about 20 blocks away from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. On a (somewhat) more positive note, I thought the ruins at Teotihuacan (Mexico) and Tikal (Guatemala) were both pretty amazing, although nowhere near as cool as the people I met in those countries.
