ABOUT ME

I am in my last semester of college, in Seattle WA. My majors are in Economics and Philosophy, but that doesn't mean I know anything about either.
I've been getting really into bicycles lately and think I might want to be a bike mechanic after I graduate. Or, rather, a bike mechanic apprentice.
i'm pretty mellow and not a "big ball of energy" kind of person.

PHILOSOPHY

Sections like these are always an invitation to write something either really pretentious or absolutely frivolous. I am pretty much living out my philosophy and values on a daily basis, they are reflected in my interests and hobbies, i think.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I backpacked thru some of Europe over the summer. surfed a bunch of couches and met a lot of good people. I need to repay my debt to CS! I want to host and will try to organize my living situation soon.

兴趣

bicycles \ cycling around, relaxing in parks, beaches, and campuses. basketball. Belgian beer, dark chocolate, red wine, vegetables. I am also interested in humility, anarchism, sustainability, dumpster diving, and alternative ways of living.

Movies: easy rider, gimme shelter, der himmel über berlin, capturing the friedmans, hearts and minds, koyaanisqatsi, hoop dreams ... i haven't had time to watch DVDs more than half a year now.

Books: what makes sammy run?, the jungle, the pearl, war is a force that gives us meaning, last of the savages ... bike repair manuals.

I have a ridiculous amount of audio files on my computer, something like 160GB. In spite (or because) of this, I have a hard time giving an answer to 'what kind of music do you like'. randomly: TV on the Radio, Menomena, NIN, Forss... no metal or country or experimental noise.
