About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Educate.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I am a full time student in Berkeley, CA. I live with my fiance, Dave (we're to get married this summer in NH), and our two cats. I volunteer for an excellent organization, Refugee Transitions, teaching ESL to refugees in the SF Bay Area.

PHILOSOPHY

I try my best to live my life simply and honestly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been out of the loop for a bit, but am back in and opening our guest room for surfers. I have surfed a bit in the past (albeit, not with CS services, of my own accord).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my couch surfing experiences have been excellent. Great people, fun cities!

Interests

Camping, Hiking, Photography, Painting, Meditation, Traveling, Reading. I love all things Mexican and am learning Spanish. I also have an interest in religious iconography and pilgrimages.

As a couple we love to play board and card games and explore the SF bay area.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music... usually rock n' roll. I love hanging out with musically talented people who aren't afraid to whip out their guitar or other random instrument and having an impromptu sing-a-long.
Movies... my favorite is Harold & Maude. I love to laugh... and usually more dark/black comedy. I also enjoy foreign films.
Books... Recently reading a lot of Thich Nhat Hahn, Shunryu Suzuki and Alan Watts. I also like Christopher Moore, Brad Warner, Jack Kerouac, Oscar Zeta Acosta, Hunter S Thompson, Charles Bukowski and many, many others!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pilgrimage to the Virgen de Guadalupe in Mexico DF.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, Virgin Islands, British, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Puerto Rico, United States
