ABOUT ME

we're two sisters, rachel and chloe, who also happen to be dear friends. we are remarkably similar at the same time as being quite different. we DO, however, share an impressive amount of the same hobbies and passions: travel and foreign life, language study, analysis, acquisition; spending time in nature, doing and admiring others' arts and crafts..
we are always making plans and lists and we don't get everything done, of course, but we always manage to be in the process of making something wonderful of our lives.

P.S. All our photos are suuuuuuper old and I feel like I look like a baby, lol! But, the photos don't really matter, so I'm not gonna hurry to update. They still give a great glimpse into our tastes and personalities :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we've hosted four lovely couchsurfers and hope to do so again in the future when we have a stable place to reside. until then, we're willing to be great couchsurfers ourselves!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we've lots of sleeping-on-couches-and-floors experiences in our lives, but this is the first time doing it professionally, ha!

Interessen

smelling citrus as it's being peeled, talking/singing/humming/mumbling, making and writing postcards, dancing around, altering clothes, drinking tea or beer or wine, getting little kids to draw us pictures, making up/mixing around words, sleeping under the stars, speaking spanish and french, drawing on walls, cooking and using lots of spices, and participating in other first-rate activities.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

we've witnessed a total solar eclipse on the shores of lake balaton, in siofolk, hungary! the next one: china july 2009. (update: WE DID IT!!! we saw the eclipse in hangzhou, china, and IT ROCKED OUR MINDS! pure bliss, ahhhhhh!)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

we'll laugh at your jokes, as well as our own.
we'll be anybody's dance partner, as long as you don't mind dancing all crazy-like!
we'll draw you a picture, if you draw us one.
we absolutely LOVE talking about languages, in languages, and swapping knowledge/cool facts is always a pleasure!!
rachel's specialties:
i love tea; let's have a cup!
i actually LIKE doing the dishes, preferably while tipsy and listening to music (preferably the talking heads or aphex twin).
chloe's specialties:
i'm a good crochet and knitting helper, or really anything to do with fiber arts!
