I am an avid reader, and have recently taken up drawing. I also enjoy traveling (of course!), foreign/independent films, live music, gardening, walking, camping and canoeing.

PHILOSOPHY

Life has no real purpose, other than to be lived beautifully. For me this means being kind to people, thankful, observant, and passionately engaged.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some movies that I have really enjoyed are: Brimstone and Treacle, Me and you and everyone we know, Kolya, Amelie, No Man's Land, Fellini's Roma, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blade Runner, Europa, C.R.A.Z.Y., Out of Africa, Metropolis(1927), The Constant Gardener, Sling Blade, The Bicycle Thief, Spirited Away, Nobody Knows,M, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, Tekkonkinkreet,Crime and Punishment(Georgi Taratorkin), La Dolce Vita and Strawberry and Chocolate.

In terms of books I'll just mention the last two novels that I really enjoyed: Milan Kundera's "The Unberable Lighness of Being" and Dino Buzzati's "The Tartar Steppe."

I have a wide ranging and ravenous appreciation for music. I love early country music, jazz, blues and world folk, and I really like some contemporary strains of alternative music. My current favorite group is Beirut.
