About Me
CURRENT MISSION
An adventure, with some of the worlds funnest creative practitioners and thinkers
ABOUT ME
I'm a director, voice teacher and actor, and am also experienced in the public sector as an advisor and writer. I love poetry, and presence, and the wonderful work of thinking about how to create the futures we are able to imagine for ourselves and each other. I'm very interested in what's happening globally, in politics and the environment, and love to hear from people who are genuinely and thoughtfully making positive change.
PHILOSOPHY
To be present with others, to be authentic, to surrender into grace. From that place to spend time creatively imagining the possibilities for the world, and agile ways of enacting them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the couchsurfing project. I found out about it from close friends. I'm keen to stay involved and find out more from other surfers as I go. My partner and I have been travelling a lot over the last few years, including living in Copenhagen for 18 months. We were back in Australia for 6 months before a trip to the US and Germany, to do some training. After a short stint back in Australia we came to Malaysia and have been here now for 2 years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All my experiences have been rewarding - of hosting and of being hosted. I love the opportunity to meet people simply for the sake of it, and outside the context of work or familiar circles. Conversations about things that matter seem to happen so much more quickly, and I love that. All the people who have hosted me have been very generous and I look forward to hosting more.
Interests
I have a great love for the work I've been doing lately - teaching voice and getting more experience as a theatre director. I'm also fascinated by the disciplines of futures studies/strategic foresight, Integral theory and consciousness studies. Love literature languages, and can't help keeping up with politics.
