ABOUT ME

When I am going around discovering new people and places and things I love the world. I like to talk, sometimes a lot :), and to hear stories! Then again when I stay at rest to long I do tend to start pondering, and see a lot of pain in the world. Luckily couch surfing (and playing piano) is the ultimate medicine!

PHILOSOPHY

If I would know that my lifes task would be completed. what seems provisionally clear is that knowing is doing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started my CS experiences when I was traveling around the meiteranian with my friend. First we had a cup of coffee in Jordan, later surfing a couch in Bulgaria, evntually taking couchsurfers with us for parts of our trip, so I hosted people on the road. Now I would like to host at home. creating international fun in the city of The Hague.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It would be a cliché to say that CS changed my life. So I won’t say it. It made an impact though. Sounds better doesn’t it.

Movies; Kubrick, Alice in Wonderland.
Music; Jazz, The Bad Plus, Monk. Classical, Beethoven, Debussy, Messiaen. I Love the feminine cello.
Books; German, French, Dutch, English and Spanish litterature. The discovery of heaven by Harry Mulisch, was still fun. Der Man Ohne Eigenschaften by Robert Musil, is fantastic and terrible. It cannot go much further or me too will end up in an assylum.

Well, I am officially educated as an economist, so I could tell you all about that. However, I am probably better able to show the problems in economic knowledge. Every day I am learning new things that I would like to share! Also I love to teach and be taught on political philosophy and modern continental philosophy, especially Foucault.
