About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living London! And exploring the "surrundings" ;)!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Salta (in the north of Argentina.. you MUST go there), then moved to the US for a year, then to Cordoba where I have lived for 8 years. Then, I took my backpack and decided to travel around Europe for a few months, after deciding to stay in London town where I have lived over 5 years now... this city is just an amazing playground!. And of course, a great hub to the world.

Well.. that's something I can write about myself and I could go on and on, but you know personal descriptions are just a part of this.. please go ahead and take a look at my profile and my references (I'm sure their opinion is more relevant that mine.. :P).

PHILOSOPHY
The best moment is the present. Be as good with people as you want them to be with you. Work on the relationships. Enjoy life. Take risks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been involved with CS now for almost 8 years, and it has brought a LOT of good moments (and amazing friendships!) to my life. Of course, CS is just a complement to my social life but it really added a different flavour to it:)

I try to participate on the meetings in Argentina at Cordoba and Salta (my hometown) whenever I'm there, enjoy the London community...travel as much as i can , and host as much as possible:)

The best way of participating, is to really enjoy it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The London life has kept me busy so I haven't been able to host as much as I would like over this last period, but still, I have had the occasional luck of receiving great people at our home in UK.

I volunteered as Cordoba City Ambassador about a year and a half and it has been great to organize so many events (like the anual CS Oktoberfest Camp which gathered over 50 CSers last year) at the local Cordoba CS Group (also at the Salta CS Group).
After I have participated in the London community, and met amazing people whenever I have been lucky enough to travel. Happy to share stories with you, would love to hear yours!

And this is my (very updated!) CS hosting-surfing story:

Your couch?

I have also been a member of HospitalytClub.org since 2007 (username: juanortiz) and have had awesome experiences thanks to it. People hosted me on the south of Argentina, and I have been a host myself a few times. But nowadays, I'm much more into CS than HC since I feel more connected to it's vision.

But for sure, CS is not all reduced to hosting and surfing... i have had incredible encounters with lots of people, many "coffee or drink" in many cities during my trips...
