About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving the planet, of course
ABOUT ME
I am a 29 year old guy with a passion for discovering new things and cultures. As a musician, i play guitar and piano and am a songwriter who cannot sing, eternally frustrated thus?? As an economist I have mainly occupied myself in the ethical field, worrying about the influence of global warming, the fashion industry, globalisation, capitalism.
I'm generally perceived to be a quite confident and sociable person. As a CSer, I'm always up for a night out and to hang out with the people I am staying with, but if that's not possible, I can happily find my own way.
PHILOSOPHY
Encounters are never random, you meet someone and there will be something you can learn from them or teach them. Every experience is what you make of it. Generally i believe in Karma, although it is not rational, it is something i choose to believe in, because it makes sense to me and increases individual agency.
I am interested in the social movements occurring in the whole world now, dealing with global warming, poverty and gender empowerment and hoping to do something to better the world. Your classic ideologist at the age of 26, I guess
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed a great deal in South America and have been hosting for two years in Antwerp. Currently I am living in London and space constraints make hosting kind of difficult, although for very good applications, we might be able to make some room.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, USA, UK and Belgium. I don't know exactly with how many people I stayed but it's more than 30 for sure. I think I hosted about 10-15 when I was living in Antwerp and now I occasionally use CS to find great people to meet in countries where I have to go for work
