ABOUT ME

Born in Galveston Tx, raised in northern California.

I have just recently graduated Humboldt State University, and am living less than a 10 minute walk from campus. Arcata is known in the north coast for its beautiful scenery in the spring, its wildlife, surrounding hiking trails, and of course the Marijuana culture that is seemingly ever present. Among the great activities in Arcata, there is the Farmers market, producing organic and local fruits and vegetables, the redwood forest trails including redwood park, where a festival is held on April 20th, as well as the surf-able beaches of the northwest.

I can tell you a little about myself and my Room-mates: My Girl Friend, Annie and our Dog, Patton. we are laid-back in conversation, yet hard-working in our aspirations (whatever they may be this week). I have been Directing a Science Camp this Summer, and Annie is working at the local Hub, Ramones in Wildberries.

I am a Biology major from a small town in the central Sierra's, where Annie and I both grew up. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors and sharing new experiences with others. I enjoy talking more than anything. Annie loves to bake, on Arcata's rainy days You can find her baking goodies in our little studio.

The three of us are a warm and welcoming bunch, ready for anyone to come a-knocking.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our mission is to better acquaint ourselves with the interesting people that inhabit the various places on the earth, and also to establish mutually beneficial relations with people from other countries. This is to not only have an affordable place to stay while traveling but also to experience a place through the eyes of a native rather than a tourist. This exchange works both ways and we are just as happy to host, as we are to visit.

Ridden horse back on Roca Pichincha, Quito, Ecuador, where I stayed with a house family for a summer to learn Spanish.
