CURRENT MISSION

I'm just returning to the Couchsurfing community after a too-long hiatus (I was living the NYC-always-working lifestyle for a couple years, but that was enough of that). I am really excited to be coming back to this wonderful community.

ABOUT ME

I studied Art at Pomona College in Claremont, California, and I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Now I live in Brooklyn, New York, but try my best to skip the freezing winters. I love to cook, sew, play Ultimate Frisbee, and explore.

Estudié arte en Pomona College en Claremont, California, y pasé mi niñez en la región noroeste de los Estados Unidos. Actualmente vivo en Brooklyn, Nueva York, pero hago lo que puedo para saltar los inviernos frígidos. Me encanta cocinar, coser, jugar a Ultimate Frisbee, y explorar.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed around the world (and all over my home country with my Ultimate Frisbee team. < http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/claremontgreenshirts/ >). I am really looking forward to a day when I finally find a place to live with enough space for a big comfy couch, so I can start hosting counchsurfers myself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I was traveling alone, CouchSurfing was really great. Recently, I have been using Couchsurfing more for art projects.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I don't watch many movies, mostly because I don't have time, but a couple of my favorites are Billy Elliot and Everything Is Illuminated. I read a lot — all kinds of poetry, prose, whatever. I love reading the New York Times in the morning, with a cup of tea. I like almost all kinds of music — it really depends on my mood.

No tengo mucho tiempo para ver películas, pero unas de mis favoritas son Billy Elliot y Everything Is Illuminated. Leo muchísimo — todo tipo de poesía, prosa, lo que sea. Me encanta leer el periodico The New York Times cada mañana, con una taza de té. Me gusta casi todos tipos de música — depende mucho de mi humor en el momento.
