About Me

I am a journalist and independent filmmaker, I like being on the road, seeing new things and being surprised, but above all I like people and how diffent they are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got into the Couchsurfing verve during a 4-months stay in Latin America in 2007 and was amazed by the caring and easygoing people I met everywhere. Since then, I have also had some Couchsurfing guests - mainly people whose couch I had surfed before and who visited me in return. Always great to meet Couchsurfing friends again!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like HipHop Artists with a political message - such as Ana Tijoux or Rebeca Lane
Movies: Documentary Films! Then films like Le Fabuleux Destin d' Amélie Poulain, City of God
Books: T. C. Boyle, Isabel Allende. In general magic realism and young writers

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most remarkable one is finding awesome, groovy, contemplative, shining, singing, silent, down-to-earth, detached - in one word: INSPIRING people in every place I have lived in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

... I can tell you looooots of stories about the different German mentalities
... I can teach you our beautiful language, but only if you won't blame me for the complicate grammar and the weird pronunciation
... I can teach you how to milk a cow and all the other stuff that you need to survive in the pampa of Southern Germany, because that's where I was raised

...and I would like to learn/experience: any kind of foreign language (quechua, dutch or portuguese) and being able to survive (at least a little bit) in the jungle

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, England, France, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Argentina, Chile, Germany, Peru
