About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Encouraging people to forget their phones for a day/week/month/year/lifetime and get out enjoying and having adventures in the wild places of this world.

ABOUT ME

Spontaneous, love to say 'yes', will bring enthusiasm to any experience.
Friendly, warm, people say that they feel like they've known me for years after an hour - reliable, trustworthy, honest and always willing to go out of way to help and put people at ease and enjoy themselves.
A perpetual explorer of lands, psyche, opinions, knowledge, lessons and understanding.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life with positivity and an ever enquiring, explorative mind. Life is a big game to be played with zeal, spontaneously flowing between calm and the ragged edge.

Experience as much as possible, with as many people as possible, in as many places as possible. Never close your mind to anything, try everything and anything twice (at least!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

100+ nights surfed, 100+ nights hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too many brilliantly inspiring nights and days and so many life-long friends made through couching.

Star-gazed with astrophysicists, discussed international politics with Mexican advanced mathematicians late into the night, explored abandoned quarries discussing wokeness, hosted in my tent on mountain missions in Canada, hosted in Montreal and threw 200+ people house party on their final night, Couched with UNICEF workers saving the world, so so so many good times.

Some great times. Great people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

6 years ago I quit my highly-paid, but ultimately unfulfilling corporate job in Sydney, Australia to pursue a more positive, meaningful and valuable existence working in the outdoors. Contributing to the health and well-being of others and the earth and encouraging a connection with wildness we still have around us and in us is an amazing thing. This is something I'm proud to spend my time doing as a free-time mission seeker and Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: Mountaineering and rock climbing, mountain craft and navigation, ecology and environmental 'connections', growth and warrior mindset.
LEARN: Spanish, German, Remedial Massage
SHARE: My time, my opinion, my drink, my food, my home, my life and some kick-ass stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Adventures and wild missions, my friends and rad times, out-there stories, thought stimulating conversation - let's get to the grit of it and not talk fluff ;)
