About Me

CURRENT MISSION

roam free, observe, find humor and beauty in almost everything, learn how to dance without embarrassing myself, finish Kafka´s The Castle even if it kills me.

ABOUT ME

I have always been curious, ever since I was a little kid, and I think that curiosity has led me to love traveling and meeting interesting people. I spent 6 months in Chile as a foreign exchange student and am currently backpacking around South America with my big sister. After completing this little odyssey of mine in South America, I´ll start college in the fall at the University of Chicago, but who knows what I´ll end up studying (I´m thinking Anthropology at the moment, but that could and probably will change). Although my mother thinks my brain is rotting from lack of traditional education this year, I think this experience has been incredibly enriching. Giving my head a little break from school and letting my eyes, legs, and heart do the thinking has done me a world of good.

PHILOSOPHY

"...Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." - RM Rilke

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not yet had the pleasure of hosting someone with CS. Since I am currently traveling and have no place of my own I have no couch to offer, but as soon as I do I would be more than happy to host. Until then, I´d love to meet up for coffee or bubble tea to swap travel stories and give whatever advice or insider-info I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My older sister was the one who first told me about CouchSurfing and has really gotten me interested in the network. I have had several wonderful experiences staying in other CouchSurfers´ homes during the 4 months we´ve been traveling throughout South America. I was totally impressed by the generosity, kindness, and trust that these CouchSurfers have shown us, despite the fact that we were almost complete strangers to them.
