ABOUT ME

Well, I'm in my early 20's and I live in Detroit. I am a student at Wayne State University. I live about 2 miles from the "downtown" area. I'm majoring in theater, with a concentration in design/tech with a specialization in props. I grew up in a town of 5,000 people, but I'm loving living in Detroit. If only it had better public transportation. :) I love movies and music, like most people, and I love reading a lot about random things. I think Wikipedia is one of the greatest things ever, no matter how reliable or unreliable it may seem, because you can learn something new every day.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn a little something about eveything, because once you gain knowledge it's one thing no one can take from you. Unless, I guess, they do a lobotomy, which I hear isn't done much anymore.

BOOKS: I enjoy books about how things were/are made, like Disney World, movies, costumes, even furniture. I am a fan of Harry Potter. I like travel writing, especially Bill Bryson. Some of my favorite books are A Prayer for Owen Meany, by John Irving, Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman.

Taking a trip to Oregon/Washington and seeing things like Multnomah Falls and the Tillamook Cheese Factory, climbing and descensing Mt. Hood, visiting Mr. St. Helens, and chilling in Astoria (where they shot the Goonies. I have now officially been to the Goonie house. :) )

Insegna, impara, condividi

I make a mean chicken parmesean, I play simple guitar and piano, I know the history of things like pencils and Hershey kisses, I can say about 30 words in American sign language (but would like to learn more), and I used to sing bass in a barbershop quartet. I don't know if that's useful, unless you're three other members of a quartet who need a bass, in which case it's perfect. :)
