About Me

CURRENT MISSION

So much to see and do... So little time!

ABOUT ME

We are a couple of explorers that have an insatiable desire to see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just trying to get involved and get the word out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sometimes you end up in places you didn't expect to end up... what can you say? Sometimes those unexpected connections that you make are the longest lasting and the strongest you have.

Interests

We love just about anything connected to the outdoors and feeling that connection we all have to the world around us.

  • culture
  • cars
  • outdoor activities
  • snowshoeing

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Like the travelogues... Bruce Chatwin, Paul Theroux, Muir, Twain etc. Really like Annie Dillard, Robert Frost, Barbara Kingsolver. The poetry of Bukowski!
Music: Cat Power, PJ Harvey, Tom Waits, Built to Spill, Willie Nelson...
Movies: Amelie, Down by Law, Deadman, To Have and Have Not, and so on and so on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is never just one thing... it is the culmination of things that make all of them special... like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, snowshoeing a virgin trail on a light snowy morning, shoving your toes in the sand of a foreign beach, standing on top of a mountain and seeing how small you are. Living in grass hut in Africa and realizing how much you have to learn about people.

Teach, Learn, Share

We as a society and a culture as a whole need a major paradigm shift if we are going to continue living on this planet. (I am not up for going to live elsewhere) And I am not talking about recycling grocery sacks and driving electric cars.. It is going to take a shift in how we think of ourselves and our relationships with this place that created us.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, France, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Switzerland, United States, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, United States
