Hey people!
I have no clue what i should write about myself beside the regular stuff; My name is Doron. I love to laugh and make others laugh (even more), talk about whatever and listen, oh music, I'm crazy about good music.
I'm also a traveler, but who's not?

PHILOSOPHY

Träumer haben vielleicht keinen Plan, aber Realisten keine Visionen - dreamers maybe have no plan but realists have no visions.

Humanism - i see myself first of all as a human being and not a part of a imagined group like a nation.
the human interest stands before any other group's interest.
i long to see a world where people do not identify themselves by their background which they were born to and didn't choose.

Rationalism - our values can be grasp by our own magical mind, we don't need god/religion/science/history/evolution/nature/genetics to tell us what is right and what is wrong, we can create our own values just by thinking what will be good for humanity.

Indeterminism - whatever we are doing, we are always free, humans are not under the control of any metaphysical power; no gods, no fate/destiny and no determinism or predetermined reality.
without freedom there's no essence to life.

Idealism - I believe that i should struggle to live the dream even if it's unreachable in my lifetime. don't tell me what is the reality, i know it just like you, try to change it if you don't like it.

but hey! I'm not that heavy usually, it's just when it gets to the philosophical topic, other than that I'm pretty laid-back.

Interests

I dig music!
I'm interested in politics (human rights, international relations, middle east), history, philosophy.
love to travel (especially mountainous areas).
also movies are great (although I'm very picky).
what else, good beer can be always appropriate, especially if I've never tasted it before.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music! oh, that's the taste in life. if i wouldn't try to change the world i would probably try to compose music, although i don't even know how to read notes.
I live to listen to the next great song (also the one which has not written yet). for me good music = good melody = CHANGE.

really in a nutshell:
Classical - Beethoven, Brahms ,Chopin, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev.
Progressive Rock - Anglagard, Atmosphera, Camel, King Crimson, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Yes, Yoni Rechter.
Classical Rock - Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Al Stewart.
some more abrasive Rock - Nirvana, Pixies, Dream Theater, Infekzia, Alice In Chains, Mars Volta.
Alternative Rock - Blonde Redhead, Coldplay, Interpol, Nick Drake, Radiohead.
I'm even receptive to Trance/Dance music, but not to reggae and hip-hop.

Movies - movies are great, well, some of them. the best I'd seen is "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind".
I love Charlie Kaufman, Michel Gondry, Tim Burton, Lars Von Trier and probably some others who i don't know their names.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 months of walking from the south of Israel to the north, with hundreds of people from around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

learning? i don't know, just start to teach me, i promise to be a good pupil. I guess i won't be able to learn language or a musical instrument in few days but you can try. whatever relates to Music and Food is great to know. and knowledge about your country is great too.
teaching? whatever you want to know about the middle-east, as long as i know it...
