Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
finding ourselves in the world, Ian from the air, Cris from the ground
ABOUT ME
we're 60ish, recently married (to each other), and are now starting to spend more of our time exploring the world in a way other than for business and 'vacation' travel.
Our 'home base' is Bermuda (the place where we've both lived and worked for over 30 years). We're in the process of downsizing to too small a place to host couch surfers...
PHILOSOPHY
Cris: someone once told me that the dalai lama said (quoting roughly) "the purpose of life is to have fun"... I think that's a pretty good guide to follow (as long as you wouldn't have fun causing pain to anyone else!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're happy to meet people (or host them) for drinks or a meal... share insights, etc..
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When we were in a larger place we hosted several times and once sort of accidentally found ourselves guests of a couchsurfing host in Spain!

reading, skiing (Cris), boarding (Ian), squash (Ian's good, Cris's not, tennis (Ian) camping, hiking, paragliding (Ian), climbing (Ian), remodelling projects (tiling, painting, demolition!), pyrotechnics (Ian), drama (Ian), performance art, magic (Ian)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ian paraglides; I think that's amazing... I've done it in tandem a couple of times.
The Grand Canyon is the most amazing thing I've ever seen!... but scuba diving off Cabo San Lucas comes close.
