About Me

ABOUT ME

I don't like describing myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make of it!

"Happiness does not depend on what you have or who you are, it solely relies on what you think." --Buddha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just like the majority. I host people and surf couches. I do not aspire to become an ambassador.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had 4 experiences so far which were quite good. I've hosted a guy from Cali. and surfed a couch in Munich, Paris and Thessaloniki. Oh, I should perhaps mention that 2 people did NOT leave me a feedback for whatever reason which I find exteremely rude. The guy from Cali. also didn't leave me a feedback but he is excused because we've become real friends ever since.

Interests

What I like/love:

-SUNNY WEATHER
-coffee (Illy Espresso Freddo, BEST iced coffee in the World!
-travelling
-MUNICH
-receiving and opening packages (even though I know what's inside, I'm still excited, haha)
-Greece (my home country)
-real friends who are supportive and never let you down
-Math (one of my favorite subjects)
-Good food (Sushi, lamb steak, simple but delicious Greek food)
-Pastry (pancakes, cupcakes, macarons, tarte au citron...)
-Animals (especially doggies)
-driving aroung with a car

What I dislike:

-arrogance (especially when it's baseless)
-excessive drinking (I seriously cannot stand people who get drunk and act like complete morons)
-insecurity that manifests as excessive defensiveness
-intolerance (Who are you to judge others?)
-simplemindedness
-inconsiderate people who don't care about others
-bad weather (rainy, overcast days make me depressed!)
-ostentation (carrying a Louis Vuitton bag is not classy these days)
-ticks

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok, to avoid rambling, I will tell you what kind of music I do NOT like: Punk rock, heavy metal, rap.

I don't read a lot of books, simply because I don't have the time. However, the last books I read included Ron Chernow's "Waschington - A Life" which was brilliant and Dan Brown's Lost Symbol which was horrible and excruciating to read.

What I do read on a weekly basis is my favorite magazine entitled "The New Yorker".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Received a phone call by the faculty director of the University of Heidelberg to be told that I was among the 10 best applicants ^_^

Teach, Learn, Share
