About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, experience different ways of living, and/or gain an understanding of cultures other than my own

ABOUT ME

I live in Houston, TX. My primary loves are music, film, books, and travel (all of which transport me to other places, literally or figuratively). I spend a good deal of my life (easily 80%) trying to be funny.

PHILOSOPHY

Reach for the stars so if you fall you land on a cloud - Yeezy

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a particular affinity for Czech, French, and Italian films of the 1960s (Milos Forman, Francois Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, Federico Fellini, etc.) as well as British folk and rock music of the 1960s and 70s (The Beatles, Nick Drake, The Kinks, etc.). Also, I tend to like films starring Cary Grant and/or Audrey Hepburn, films directed by Stanley Kubrick, Orson Welles, or Errol Morris, and a large variety of documentary films. I like to read all kinds of books, but I generally would say my all-time favorite books are Candide by Voltaire and/or Dead Souls by Nicolai Gogol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am .0000000000000000000001% sure I kissed Oscar Wilde's grave in the exact same spot as Morrissey (which means I MAY have kissed Morrissey in a round-about way). also, I rafted on white water on the Ganges.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Mexico, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
