ABOUT ME

Karolina, half Swedish/Mozambican, adventurous, humble, honest, outgoing, daydreaming girl filled with a large amount of curiosity about the world and people in and all over it.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that travelling is the only thing you can buy that actually makes you richer. To travel is to live - to live is to travel. And all is in the people you meet on your journey. Also to dare and always challenge myself is a big part of and important thing in my life, which I always learn from.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recentely came back home after a 4 month long adventure through Latin America, now enriched with beautiful memories shared with people who opened their hearts and homes whilst visiting their countries. I'm now in the opposite position and would gladly try to show the same hospitality in Sweden. At the moment, and one more semester to come, I will have my base in Helsingborg, where I'm studying Service and Tourisn Management and exploring more of the southern parts. Therefore I would love to meet up/show you around and explore together, although I cannot host at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It started during past travels while staying in guest houses during travels where families opened their arms and homes. I really like this idea of tourism and having heard only positive things about Couchsurfing, I decided to give it a try... 2014, being the year I travelled through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, led to amazing cultural exchanges, also resulting in making good friends from all over the world. Recently I came back from an exchange semester abroad in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and wish to continue on exchanging adventures with likeminded people.

兴趣

Travelling and all that comes with it: getting to know/learn from new people, places and cultures. Besides that, everything that makes me smile ;) Such as jumping in waves, food tasting, exploring, learning new languages, being under water, dancing, music, sharing deep thoughts about life and love, trying new sports etc etc...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Having lived in and experienced two totally different worlds - Sweden and Mozambique. Adding Norway, Spain and Brazil to it recently I'm really grateful having had the possibility to see so many wonderful places along the way.

I'm always eager to learn new things!! Learning to surf or some new dancing moves are highly ranked activities on my list :) In exchange I could teach you some Swedish, tell some strange facts about animals or show you some self defence/Ju-jutsu. What about learning how to sing a Swedish children's song with your mouth closed?
