ABOUT ME

born in 1979, i'm a very soft-spoken person with strong feelings and principals. Food is something very important to me; i see it as a window into the world and it'sculture, as well as a very strong and passionate way to tell others how i feel. Videogames are my life (from work and passion) and so i enjoy the feel of a nintendo or xbox controller in my hands :) photography is my passion, which i practice as much as i possibly can; while traveling or not.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since joining CS, i've had the chance of meeting numerous amazing people from all over the world. Through CS i have made life-long friends with whom i exchange regularly and visit. I certainly hope my experience is beneficial to anyone else crashing at my place for a night.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had an unofficial CS experience in the form of a friend's friend's daughter swing by Montreal; looking for a place to stay for a few days. She actually used CS to find some pointbreaks in montreal a few days prior to our scheduled meeting and she introduced me to this site! Thanks Marie!

Through her, i made 2 life-long friends who are on this site, are now maried and awaiting on a child(2011). Through these friends, i met the woman of my life with who reside currently.

Haven't i not met Marie, my life would be completely different.

Interests

I want to "Learn" to travel. This is an important distinction to simply "wanting to travel". I have not traveled to many places in my life; being always stuck at the same place because of work and other things. I would like to change this as much as possible...

Mountain Biking; Trekking; Camping; Martial arts (Iaido, Aikido); Video Games; Japan; Italy; Cooking/Food; Movies (the good and bad ones); music of all kinds (i mostly listen to Classical, Rock and Techno/electronics); Walking; shopping ;) ;nice cloths;

1. TopGear Show - England; Dunsfold Park in Surrey.
2. Col De Turini (south of France)
3. San Bernardino Pass (Swiss Alps connecting the towns of Hinterrhein and Misox)
4. Stelvio Pass (alps)
5. London Eye
6. Grand Canyon (possible Mountain bike/camping trip)
7. The Boxwood Café in London (Gordon Ramsay's)
8. Love's Fish restaurant in Brighton (from Kitchen Nightmares)
9. Make a few Laps of the Nurburgring in Germany; potentially take the 'ring Taxi with Sabine; and of course, get the chance to lap the 'ring in a good car (Ferrarri, Porsche, GT-R... yeah i can dream can't i?)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went through a personal Cancer; lymphoma. It was a very hard experience but from day one, decided i would beat it within a year and i did. The path back to life took longer but this experience changed me into, i hope, a better person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I practice Photography regularly, so if there are photographers out there who would like to exchange on the subject...!!

I practice Iaido (japanese Sword art) in the Muso shinden Form; and previous practiced the Katori Shinto form... i'd love to exchange on that as well... or perhaps talk about the actual "Shinken" or "shinkato"...

Cooking is a great opportunity to learn about a culture and its people... I love food and i love cooking; might as well learn a lot from it as well!
