About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a papier marché man out of the boring business magazine we get, and call it: Homo Oeconomicus

ABOUT ME

Hello world! We are Frej, Kenneth ("Krølle") and Malte. This is our couchshare-profile.

Maltes profile contain some of our previous CS-experience (see references). We've now decided to approach the correspondance with you together, because our hosting was a collective phenomenon anyways.

PHILOSOPHY

All that is in the fridge is shared.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By welcoming you people in our home and helping you get a more local and non-touristy stay in CPH!

Malte also surfs. The other two are closet-surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had quite a lot of people staying here or meeting up with us since we started hosting in November. People from Belgium (twice even), The Amazonian, Latvia, Australia, France, Hungary, Scotland, Finland and San Francisco.

Interests

Experimenting with our own social behaviour. Having esoteric philosophical discussions that might appear to be completely detached from our everyday lives, but aren't. Cooking food. Pushing the evolution of our apartment's wall decorations until everything is plastered with little notes and drawings (maybe limit this to the toilet). (Frej) Extending his vocabulary, like 'ontology'.

Music, Movies, and Books

We watch a lot of movies at home and download the entire film history with enthusiasm (and no guilt).

A lot of music is played in the apt. as well, from local copenhagen math-rock bands, over country and folk, to torturing noise music. We have a somewhat diverse taste in music, although we may differ in our tolerance.

Books read are both related to our studies, ie. social sciences. Also, the french novelist Michelle Houellebecq has managed to get a hold of us all (and soon our friends – maybe you even?). We sometimes read a poem before dinner, if there's a special occasion (or just to be pathetic and theatrical).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having our new years eve at our flat was probably the most crazy party any of us had thrown. The apartment is still in hangover-mode in some ways, we guess you have to see it..

Teach, Learn, Share

Freegan food. We can teach you how to live very cheap and sustainable in Copenhagen at the same time. When you get here, you will see that the first is particularly difficult to do. Frej & Malte dumpster-dive in our area, which basically means that you find perfectly edible and fresh food in the supermarket dumpsters, take it home to wash it, and then throw a dinner for all your friends (usually you have too much food to eat yourself). Of course, we are regular customers in the same supermarkets as well, but usually get our fruit and vegetables from the dumpster after the store's closed. If you just had the ewww-reaction from reading this, then you should definitly come along to get desensitized! We will show you that it's a very good idea, for a number of reasons: a sustainable life-style, an inexpensive food budget, a much more diverse and surprising range of food during the week and of course the pleasure of dumpster-diving in new areas of the city and preparing the food at home together afterwards.
