ABOUT ME

Hi! My name's Catharine, or Cat! I have just travelled around the world with my wonderful friend Ellie and have had an amazing time meeting great people and doing awesome things! I went to university at Keele in Staffordshire, and although no-one knows where that is, it is a real place. I think I'm easy to get along with and have a good sense of humour, I'm quite random and have been known to be gullible and silly - which always makes for some interesting times! I love all sorts of music, reading and meeting new people and I like to sing the jingles off adverts which is apparantly annoying but in my defence they shouldn't be so catchy! I have just travelled for a year with my best friend and I did loads of things I never thought I would - skydiving and bungy jumping to name the most extreme ones - which have given me more confidence in myself.

PHILOSOPHY

People say don't have regrets but I think regret is a natural part of human life. What I might say instead would be don't dwell on the past - it can't be changed and you can only learn from your mistakes.
However scary a new adventure seems, it's always better with a good friend by your side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to get in touch with people through CS that I can meet up with on my travels and if anyone offers me a couch for a night, I hope to return the favour when back home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in America, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia and it has allowed me to meet some wonderful and interesting people, many who I hope to meet again.

Interests

Lots of music, singing, reading books and terrible gossip magazines, sleeping in when I don't have time, animals, exploring new places and lots of walking!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked into the Grand Canyon, been sky diving from 15,000 feet, hiked on top of a glacier, done the highest bungy jump in the world (216m).
I made the decision to leave home and go travelling - probably the most amazing thing I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play the violin or some musical throry if that's something you're particularly interested in.
I'd love to learn more about different countries and also any phrases in different languages.
I'm happy to share my knowlesge of the area I live in, and also I can help you if you need any travel advice.
