About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Everything in my life has gone really well these last 15 years and I'm looking forward to the changes at the end of 2015 with my plan to move from San Diego, Calif. to the Portland, Oregon area with my girlfriend..

ABOUT ME

Hello my name is Chuy and I am an honest, caring, and well mannered man...
I enjoy traveling and getting out there in the world, reading good books, watching good movies, eating delicious food, listening to good music especially blues and rock & roll, reggae, and jazz, getting tattooed, having a good beer...

My favorite thing in the world is my Harley Davidson Motorcycle 2013 FLHX Street Glide, I love hitting the road and getting that fresh air and being free like a bird...
I like to travel to interesting places and see their historical/cultural sites, swim in the ocean, walk in nature, etc...
I served four years in the U.S. Marines as a Rifleman.
After the Marines I went to San Diego State University and received a B.A. in Psychology.
After university my best friend and I (Taylor O'Connor) took a 6 month trip through Mexico and Central America couch surfing everywhere and meeting awesome people, and having an all around fantastic time and it was all in my 1971 Volkswagen Bus (La Poderosa)..

We would drive, sleep, drink, bathe, and cook out of this amazing vehicle.. often times we would reach a destination, park and then start to cook a meal right on the side of a street.. I can't tell you how many people would often stop by to talk to us once they caught the aromas of Taylor's beautiful cooking..
The meals we ate were pretty incredible especially considering they all came from one cooking pan all on the side of the road (see pictures)...
Since then I've continued to work and save money and continue traveling/adventuring as much as I can.
Ive recently spent a month adventuring through Europe, a month in Thailand, a month in Ireland, a month in Mexico, and month in Spain and Morocco, Mexico again because its awesome, and next my girlfriend and I area going to Ireland again and Paris! And then who knows..
