About Me

CURRENT MISSION

crossing imaginary lines

ABOUT ME

Me acerco a la vida con un sentido de la aventura, un sentido de la maravilla y el sentido del humor.

I approach life with a sense of adventure, a sense of wonder and a sense of humor.

I often combine my many interests so that I have time for them all, especially when it comes to my three greatest passions: health, education and creativity. This summer I move to Seattle and concentrate my energy long enough to become a naturopathic doctor.

I love working on creative projects and collaborating with other artists. Currently I am recording my debut album, Crossing Imaginary Lines, with a talented crew of musicians in Philadelphia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a host has made me a better surfer and being a surfer has made me a better host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm very open to all sorts of experiences, but I especially enjoy cultural exchange and expanding my recipe book.

The most striking example of this are the cookies I made with Melanie and Wiebke. They were teaching me to make German Christmas cookies and I noticed that the dough was awfully similar to that used to make a triangular, jelly-filled Jewish cookie called Hammentaschen. So we tried it out and they were the best I had ever tasted!

Interests

Arts and crafts, creative cooking, most outdoor adventures, moving (hiking, biking, swimming, volleyball, yoga, dancing), sing-a-longs, critical thinking, dinner parties.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I most love to play/sing to is folk (acoustic guitar), bluegrass (the spoons). I'm also known to write new lyrics to old songs.
Music I most love to dance to is a tie between gypsy/balkan stuff and hip hop.

Books I tend to reread:
Welcome to the Monkey House (Vonnegut), The Princess Bride (Morgenstern/Goldman), The Chosen (Potok), Narcissus and Goldmund/Siddhartha (Hesse), The Giver (Lowry), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Adams)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a beautiful day hiking alone in the mountain range between Germany and the Czech Republic without a watch or map.
