ABOUT ME

Jake: I get no reason boners all the time; I think I am in a perpetual state of puberty. I hate racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of prejudice and fear. I also long to charge into battle on the back of an armored Ankylosaurs screaming quotes from Will Smith movies. â

PHILOSOPHY

Jake: If you stare at a blank wall long enough, you might see through it, probably not though. So you should go do other stuff instead (which I learned the hard way).
Tigris: Always poop in fancy public bathrooms.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Jake: I have provided mattresses for a multitude of traveling bands and people. I enjoy respectful travelers, because god knows I have dealt with my fair share of ass-holes on the road who are ungrateful for where they are sleeping.
Tigris: I’m sorry that we can’t lug a couch on our backs for others to sleep on. However, I have provided a place to sleep for many people in the past off the CS record and will continue to do so when I settle back home, this time including the virtual CS world. Isn’t finding friends across the nation an important participating role?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing gives us confidence in the human race. We aren't ALL paranoid shut-ins! We have only had great experiences with the CS project. Some people we've ended up staying with for weeks because we got along so well. (Don't worry, we won't stay for weeks unless it happens naturally)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus, Graham Greene, Jack Kerouac, Bukowski, Michael Pollan-along with many other books involving humanities insensitivity to the environment (and ourselves).
Jake: Dinotopia is the best book ever written by humans. X-files and Pete and Pete! Potty mouth 3! I like hard hard fast fast soft soft music. Hardcore p-rock, butt/ fantasy metal, everything inspirational that came from the 70â

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tigris: I know how to drive zodiac boats and turn them on a dime at 60mph.
Jake: One time I was throwing up a lot and couldn’t keep anything down so I had to take a suppository to calm my stomach but they didn’t give me a suppository at the pharmacy…I didn’t know that. It hurt a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tigris: My skills are many and none of them too deep. Sewing, Plants, Nutrition, farming stuff, Sweet dance moves, selling broken bottles…don’t worry I’m good at stuff.
Jake: Stick and poke tattooing, making zines, sometimes I can do a kick-flip. Tying-shoes. Using the process of trial and error I can tell you whether or not your molding food is edible. Telling jokes and learning new ones.

We are really good at laughing and watching x-files.
