About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy planet Earth

ABOUT ME

All about me...

I love beautiful scenery, music, people, attitudes, theories, minds, manifestations, and dreams. I'm 5'7" brown hair, sing like life is a musical, have been on a road trip for the last 13 years, love going to, and building great art for Burning Man, wear a size 8 1/2 shoe, like to read, walk, rock and roll, laugh, craft poems, muse at beauty, get to work on time, teach grammar, apply paisley to the intellectual world, not just the visual world, and I like Italian and Korean food the best this week.

In addition, there's a new site I like a lot that is very similar to CS, but smaller. Here's my profile there: http://www.bewelcome.org/members/Jimmer

PHILOSOPHY

Bit of a Taoist, with optimistic-nihilistic tendencies that manifest in a general placidity and an upturned smile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Never been a part of the CS2 community too much, but I got Adobe CS5.5, so that's fun~

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS specific? I'm new here, but not to the idea. A couple summers ago, my favorite couch to date was in Hawaii for two months. Helped a friend on his farm out there, what a bliss. All the coconuts you could rock, and all the rocks you could take out of the ground... That was a good time.

Interests

I am interested in the amazingness of life and how many new things I get to experience if I continue to survive this rapidly spinning ball.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Waking Life, Howel's Moving Castle, Beatles, Nina Simone, Jack Johnson, The I Ching

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently published a two and a half pound book with a hologram cover that five people can hold up and say "look what I did". It's called Rainshine.

I was a member of the Machine Crew. 35-50 of us built http://www.themach12e.org ... this,,, this thing.

I rocked with Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters in the late 90's. They forever enhanced my belief in the possibilities if the human species...

I've come to realize that life is not just a stage, but a profound performance, to be given the energy that you would want a full house focused on you to notice, even when no one is around.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've spent a few years in Korea teaching English to kids, one in Vietnam. It's been really fun and amazing in so many ways. Please, if you are interested in doing something like that yourself, let me know.

I have a history of large-art sculpture-creation, with a focus on carpentry and rigging for intense environment considerations. Iz been fun. That's from the Burning Man phenomena.

Also, I have published a handful of books that are worth asking about. I can help upstart poets with technique, and ideas.
I would like to learn from others who have promoted books.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Peru, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
