Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm fairly new to the CS scene, but i've been an experienced couch surfer both at home and abroad since long before the website emerged!
My couches have been second homes to a lot of people and if I think we're gonna get along it can be your second home in Glasgow as well!
I have friends who have used the site both to host people and to find new friends to hang out with when they were travelling. I've heard great things back about their experiences on almost every occasion.
Interests
Music, Film, Animation, peoples creativity in all its guises, travelling, partying, dreaming, meeting people that are good fun, interesting, exciting and tuned in.
I love all forms of creativity, art and music and writing and talking and thinking and just any means at all of getting the ideas, thoughts and feelings out of our heads and into some form that will help communicate what would otherwise be the abstract and intangible to others.
A few years back I set up a non-profit film project in my area to help local artists and filmmakers find new audiences outside of the larger mainstream cinema venues in the city, I've screened some of my own work at the film nights as well. The project finished up a while back but we still organise screening events for art films, activist work and use the equipment for doing visuals at clubnights and parties.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Devo (especially the old booji boy stuff), Boards of Canada, Tycho, Sam Prekop, Jim O'rourke, The Rachels, Bjork, Boredoms, Nikaido Kazumi,
FILMS: Baraka, Koyanisquaatsi, The Holy Mountain, Waking Life, Akira, Blade Runner,
DOCUMENTARIES: Zeitgeist, Loose Change, We (Arundhati Roy), anything by John Pilger, most Alex Jones films- although I have a few reservations about his abilities to win over the 'hearts and minds' of the masses- he needs to work on his people skills, its downright justified to be angry but tone down that face to face aggression with the public, you were ignorant once too Alex!

COMEDY: Brass Eye, Nathan Barley, Alan Partridge,
BOOKS: 1984 - George Orwell, Talking in Whispers - James Watson, The Hunt for Zero Point - Nick Cook, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey,
