ABOUT ME

Living in TAINAN ... happy to meet up, hear your stories and make your visit smooth. There's a wonderful 600NT hostel near me I can reserve for you. I know nice AirBnB places, too. Life in the now as a freelance gardener ... my image of garden is pretty wide. Practical, rural academic background. 30 years as a biologist. Now life centers on healing, in its many forms. Each year I'm involved with Dynamic Stillness craniosacral community. Husband is British, a writer. House on the northeast coast of Taiwan that used to be a maintenance building for radio communication with fishing boats. People around me often seeking fresh connection with what's true for themselves and others. Very much enjoy meeting and supporting travelers and seeing my environment freshly through their eyes. I welcome help setting up a roof-top garden (permaculture concepts) and workshop for creative life.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to be a support person (gardening emergent spirit). In my university, I had a whole series of marvelous "interns" and workshop participants from around the world who I hosted. It was one of the most rewarding parts of what I do/did. Now I'm feeling like cultivating the wonderful energy of Tainan and Taiwan.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pre-CouchSurf I hosted interns year after year, coming to Taiwan. Hosting research workshops with groups discussing novel ways to work together, like how to conduct inventories of the marine flora and fauna of the tropical western Pacific. Now ... I engage what comes to me that seems to be for me. Last Couchsurfing travel experience (Jan13) in Denmark with Anita.

Interests

Being open to life and discerning about which are 'for me'. Things that find me: bicycling, wandering and seeing who/what I bump into that I notice is meaningful. I love wandering around in new places daily, and it's easy to do here. Who do I meet? What do we find ourselves talking about? What are the stories?
