About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Mission sounds so goal-oriented and while I have dreams and aspirations, I want to take my time reaching them and enjoy the beautiful things life has to offer along the way
ABOUT ME
Well I'm a Gemini... so that's already saying a lot, though many people believe Gemini's to be two-faced for some reason. I love going on adventures so I thrive on change and excitement. I do enjoy my quiet time to myself- sitting under a tree with a cup of tea and a book is an ideal summer afternoon. I'm honest, fun-loving and a pretty generous individual. Overall, I'm just laid back and yet a concerned young environmentalist and social activist who simply has a zest for life! I love engaging in conversations with other people with different backgrounds and worldviews. Meeting new people is just refreshing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I have yet to host a couch surfer (I currently do not have a couch for people to surf on), I have stayed on many friends' couches and vice versa. My little brother likes to come party in St. Catharines as one of his friends has moved here for school. I opened my door to him and two friends at 3 in the morning and they woke up to chocolate chip and banana pancakes at 11. I just love having a place that people can come rest and relax, and have a mini-vacation from life, which unfortunately can be mundane and monotonous at times!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming at the bottom of that waterfall in my picture was definitely the most amazing thing I've done. (I also climbed behind it and sat on bright green moss that grew on a giant black volcanic rock while watching the water cascade in front of me!). It was something I wanted to do since I was a little girl- I wrote it down on a yellow Post-it and had it in my room for ages (Talk about the Law of Attraction/The Secret/manifesting cool things in your life!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think couch surfing is a great way to experience a new culture/society. With going to resorts, not only are they environmentally unfriendly, you also keep to yourself and don't get to experience the people of that area. In my opinion, we've lost a lot of our communication skills and empathy for people through the use of technology (at least in the West). Couch surfing allows a unique opportunity to reclaim the social distance we've created and connect to other humans on a personal level. I love hearing people's life stories as you learn so much from each and every one of them!
