ABOUT ME

I am a creative artist. I have always delighted in exploring creative self-expression as performer, a teacher, a student or an audience member. Over the years I have been a private music teacher, a camp councilor, a school teacher, a workshop leader and a children's entertainer . I have lived in big cities, in other countries and in the woods. I've been a father and family man, a business owner and a community leader. And now in my early 60's I am a professional clown. I tweak the world with fun, art and humor. I practice and perform and watch it all unfold. I am happy to be alive at this time of great change and opportunity in our world. I seek others to share ideas, perspectives, experience and enthusiasm.

PHILOSOPHY

The universe is always expanding, we are always learning and growing, even God is growing! Life is an amazing adventure and it never ends... We need each other to be fulfilled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I go back to the hippie days when "crashing" at someone's "pad" was commonplace. I have hosted and surfed since 2008.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many, let's talk! As a creative artist I go in and out of absorbing the creativity of others. It's feast or famine w/ music and movies. I always have one or two books up and running, mostly non-fiction, mostly about show business and performance. There are always surprises.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2004, I bought 4 acres and an adobe house in the mountains of central Mexico. I had to fit myself into the local community, polish my Spanish and learn to live alone in the woods with animals being my only neighbors. I stayed for almost 2 years and returned to the USA to pursue my creative arts career.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Clowning, music, nutrition, healthy cooking, Spanish, working w/ tools, the creative process.

Learn: I'm always curious and open to learning new things.

Share: Food, music, adventure, philosophy, experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a skilled cook. I am handy around the house and can make small repairs. I have experience as an interior designer and can offer consultation. I'm good at planning and hosting parties. I have skills as a mediator.
