About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission consists in giving foreigners the opportunity to be in touch with the local flair and the natives in order to get a job (GRETA teacher). Beeing a foreigner by myself and also a teacher, I would like to give people the keys to another culture without beeing teaching in a common way. And now, in order to do so more effectively, with a couple of colleagues, we created our own association (GALLiléo)

ABOUT ME

I heard that I'm an openminded person, talkative about all kind of subjects. I'll for sure agree with that... LOL
If you ask me, I am somebody who loves any kind of adventure and who always puts things in a positive perspective. I love sharing my discoveries. Having a good sense of humour is important, isn't it? I am also a guy easy to live with, independent but not selfish.

PHILOSOPHY

Always try to look at the bright side of things: the glass is never half "empty"...lol

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a CouchSurfer, Michael Cohen told me in February 2008 about this way to discover and share the world with all of you. I join this group as a confident member and guess what: It realy wares it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent nights by members in Strasbourg, Malaga, London and Berlin and met people in Vienna. It was always great fun and informative. These last two years, I had to fullfile my own projects. But I'm still here guys! Even if I move from Strasbourg to Kehl (other Rhine side, just in front of Stg- 5 min away).

Music, Movies, and Books

Heat is "The Movie" and Michael Mann my favorite director.
I love Series as Boardwalk Empire, animation movies (Hayao Myiasaki's and Satoshi Kon's ones, for example, Panique au Village in particular) movies as Drive, Cold in July, The Dark Knight Trilogy (and Chris Nolans entire Filmo), Pan's Labyrinth, Two Lovers and all in all the movies directed by James Gray (Lost City of Z), Mr. Nobody (staring Jared Leto) Barry Lindon, funny stuff (Idiocracy, Naked Gun, Kick Ass...) english fantasy and horror movies (as Triangle, Severance, Evil Aliens, Sunshine...), the spanish film productions (The Backwoods, Fragile, Adandonned, Intacto...), italian campy exploitation movies (as Rats -Notte di terror, 2019 Dopo la Caduta di NY...), german milestones as Paris,Texas, Out of Rosenheim, danish movies (Nicolas Wedin Refn's entire filmo), swedish ones (Millenium, Misericorde) etc... Quiet a lot stuff, as you can see!
I like rock (alternative groups like K's Choice, Shaka Ponk,The XX, Feist, The Gossips, The Kills, Grandaddy, 30 seconds to Mars, Empyr, Massive Attack, Aimee Mann, Jaimie XX...), Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Deep Purple and every gender of musics (jazz, classical, blues...).
The two last books I loved were Arthur Golden's Geisha and Milan Kundera The Unbelievable Lightness of Beeing. My favorite author is John Steinbeck for a couple of years now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw one of Jeudi Menuines last performances on stage, and one of The Velvet Underground too.
The Zoo TV Tour in 1993 was one of the greatest musical experiences I ever had.
But this year, I saw Iggy and the Stooges on stage: OOUAAH: this guy is really, I mean REALLY amazing!
A 40 km walk in one day/night trough the Verdon River in central France in 1994 takes my breath away anytime I remember it.
The day I received The Jury Price for one of my short movies was a kind personnal achivement for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

English, German, Frensh (I created recently LINGUA-FILM, a foreign language center and a production firm twice at the time: visit www.lingua-film.com) lightening effects on stage, producing and directing movies, special effects, screenplay writing, novels, critics...
