I caught out on the Nouadibou to Choum iron ore train in Mauritania, the longest train in the world. It was fun, but dusty.

My Columbian friend says her mother always said that if you include the avocado pit in the salad, the avocado won't turn black. Personally, I don't believe it for a second.
