About Me

to flow with life and to meet some nice people on the way

I like meditating and spirituality, nature, walking, animals, art, reading, good talks with nice friends, dancing, travelling, meeting people from all over the world ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In June 2008 I made my first CouchSurfing Experience as a guest when I visited Sicily. Since then I hosted every summer guests from all over the world. I love it.

Interests

When I was twenty I wanted to see part of the world. I travelled the Greek islands, Norway, Turkey (central and the north-east), Syria-Jordan, Kenya-Tanzania-Burundi, Tunesia, Georgia (ex Sovjet-Union). I met some beautiful and interesting people. When I was thirty I became interested in travelling inside: meditation, bodywork like rebirthing, bio-energetic ... I met some very beautiful and interesting people. Now that I am in my forties, I try to bring it all together, travelling inside and outside, enjoying the experience of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read. Mostly fiction. My latest discovery is the Japanese writer Haruku Murakami. I have enjoyed 'Norwegian Wood' and 'Kafka on the beach' a lot. I also appreciate the Dutch writer Conny Palmen, the novels and travel journeys of Alexandra David-Neel, who travelled Tibet at the beginning of the 20th century, Thomas Mann's 'The wholy sinner' and 'Mémoires d'Hadrien' from Marguerite Yourcenar.
So far the serious literature. I also like to read more popular books, as long as the story is intrigues me. And I like comic books!
Some music I enjoyed lately: Sigur Ross, Antony and the Johnsons, Cowboy Junkies, Indian classical instrumental music. At the moment I am fascined by a touching cover of 'One' from U2 by Johnny Cash on his album Solitary Man.
