ABOUT ME
I am now living and working in Shanghai.
Travel has been my life for the past 10 years or so and I've spent my time saving then spending to see as much as I can.
I like to be outdoors. Exploring is exhilarating. I love to people watch, and to eat at small, homely places. I'm sometimes shy, sometimes crazy and that can be confusing to others I guess. I do like to meet new people, but feel there is a difference between those you meet and those who become real friends - the ones that you feel lucky to have. To call someone a friend, you must completely trust them.. in that sense, I know a lot of people, but I'm lucky to have a few friends.
That being said, I am proud to say that I always try to be helpful/welcoming to strangers and I am a very liberal and non-judgemental (is that a word?)person.
I've done some stupid things, but have been smart enough to learn from them. I'm still learning and hope it will be that way forever.

Interests
Travel has been my life for a while and I've had some great experiences. Now living in China, which means Mandarin is also an interest (but a difficult one). I also am constantly struggling to improve my Japanese...help please anyone:) I love football , practicing BJJ and playing frisbee. I especially love scuba-diving, and am a PADI divemaster. I Like beer (I'm English), clubs and being outside...hiking, exploring etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Harumi Murakami. History books when I'm in the mood (currently Chinese ones). I read a lot of news.
I like the songs that remind of great people I've met or great things I've been able to experience.
Like most people, I like to watch movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Myanmar I was lucky enough to meet a fantastic local called Shein who was kind enough to take me to his home (32 hours by river). Spent my time there visiting small communities and orphanages to teach English. The pinnacle of this time was when I and my two American friends headed an impromptu parade created for us... leaving the village we were followed by at least a couple of hundred people playing music and dancing. As we walked to the jetty this number swelled so by the time the boat we were on left there was a crowd of people waving a cheering for us as far as the eye could see.... wow..what a buzz...
