ABOUT ME

How should i describe myself? I'm a proud ginger. I'm an aries in every sense of the word. I have a big heart which gets me into some trouble at times because instead of thinking about what I'm about to do I just do what I feel and worry about the rest later. I've written poetry for as long as i can remember and still refuse to show it to anyone. I only write for myself. Most importantly I hope to spend my life free of money. I want to do something that serves other people around the world without worrying about what it will do to my financial situation. I have some ideas about how to do that but I'm still figuring it out.

PHILOSOPHY

Since Hurricane Katrina me and most of the people I know started telling their life stories in two parts, Before Katrina and After Katrina. I realized how much you can lose or gain in one day. I lost almost all of my material possessions, pictures, the place I had learned to call home, and quite unfortunately in the weeks after, my cat. I gained true love. I had hated being from the south before and I had hated most of my states history. In the ride back to the city that day I realized i could never really leave this place. I realized it was home. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't ever underestimate the power of one single day.

I'm brand new to CouchSurfing. So right now making this profile is how I'm participating and in a few days I'll be crashing on the couch of a host I met on here. Hopefully soon I'll have a couch of my own to offer.
