I'm a Yank who visited Australia while in university and just hung out here for the next 25 years.

I like my work, but honestly do it for travel time and many hobbies. Love my kiddos and playing and travelling with them all I can.

Love to visit with people and learn all I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined as soon as I found it. Happy to host travellers and have been doing so for years at my home. So did my parents while I was growing up. Just not so organized as this.

Makes the whole travel experience so much more of an experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed all over the place with friends and family of friends.

My first experience was with a family in Melbourne when I first came to Oz. They became true family and I still have close contact with them, and have enjoyed 20 years of watching their kids grow and their lives change.

One of their kids has moved to Spain and I am travelling there to photograph her wedding. That's how I came to find CouchSurfing.

Wow, so much. Scuba, paragliding, Tennis, reading, photography, my kids, gardening, renovating houses, meeting people, watching people do things that they are really good at.

Climbing mountains. Was amazing to see the shadow of the ground I was standing on extending across the tops of clouds a mile below.
