ABOUT ME

I have hesitated to fill out the personal description on this website for a long time because frankly I think more often then not the worst judge of an individuals character is themselves. What I would hope my best friend would say about me is that I am a loyal friend and some of the best company to have but that is really just my own projection of my desires for how the world might find me. I can say that I enjoy adventure. Whether that be; karaoke at a dive bar in a small town, getting stuck without a ride while hitching through foreign lands, or just hanging out with new people and having great conversation, I believe the best lessons in life are found through experience and interaction with those who inhabit it. That is not to say I can not be an introvert at times or sort of guarded, but it is to say I value honest interaction with individuals over almost everything else. What I wish my friends would say about me is that I am a genuine and honest individual and that I like to surround myself with people of the same disposition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am in currently in the States but will be traveling in the near future to go to school in Spain. I have hosted before but I have mostly surfed and had a great time doing it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have very little experience hosting people but have been lucky enough to surf some of the best spots around the globe.......or some parts of it anyway. I have been very fortunate to meet some of the most amazing people on this site and would like to share some of the love in the near future to other would be bums!

Interests

I enjoy educating myself without the help of institutions run by rich white men teaching the children of other rich white men. I also like Jiu-Jitsu, Chess, reading, traveling and checking out some local music in the places I travel but more of the folky, side street, play for your spare change or to fix their bum leg musicians then the local heroes at the cool new pub.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked for Habitat for Humanity building homes in Mexico which was cool because you really got to be closer to a part of the communities you visited. I was also in Hiroshima 60 years after the bomb dropped and they celebrated peace and unity on the "anniversary" which was an epic event to be a part of so that always comes to mind first.
