About Me

CURRENT MISSION

study, travel, do mountain sports and relax :)

ABOUT ME

I'm Tina and I'm studying and living in Innsbruck together with my boyfriend Michael.
I just love to travel and to get to know new people and I was so excitet when I first found this internet side! It's just great because it gives people like me new opportunities for traveling as I've actually always tried to get into contact with locals when I was on holiday and CS just makes it possible!
When I first got to know couchsurfing ten years ago I was very active in the local group and surfed a lot of couches and I loved it. Then I was very busy with studying (and I still am) but now I'm back and happy to host couchsurfers and surf new couches!
I love learning languages and using them! Besides that I am doing a lot of sports in the mountains.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that one has to find his heart-people, the people that you are just naturally deeply connected with, and I believe that you can meet them everywhere in the world so that's why we should stay open-minded all the time and also look for them on other continents. Otherwise we might miss them...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had some really great CS experiences. Especially in France a few years ago when I spent 4 weeks going around by train and couchsurfing at friendly people's places!
I also went to couchsurfing meetings a lot and participated in events in my local group.
When I moved to Innsbruck four years ago I had so much to do with my new studies that I almost forgot about Couchsurfing. But now I am back and I want to meet people again :)

Interests

I love learning and especially talking other languages. Besides english I can also speak French and Portuguese pretty well.
I love doing sports, especially in the mountains. So I do almost everything that you can do in the Alps. I'm also a ski and mountainbike instructor.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading books in foreign languages. I read Harry Potter in portuguese and I love classig english literature (Jane Austen, Bronte sisters ...). If I manage to do so I try to read books in their original language. Currently I am reading a mix of german, english, portuguese and french books. My favorite film is "A room with a view".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The nicest experience I had in couchsurfing was when I went to France many years ago in summer and stayed with different people. I got to talk a lot of french, got to know beautiful places and nice people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a ski and mountainbike instructor and I like to share my knwoledge in sports. Besides sports I love to be creative and do some arts and crafts at home (for example sewing) or at my arts university.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love having interesting conversations, especially in foreign languages! I would love to do sports with other courchsurfers and get to know intersting places they know.
