About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be as self sustaining in as many way possible. And to seek alternative ways of living by observing others.
ABOUT ME
I live in Tucson Arizona, home of the beautiful Sonoran Desert. I love being outside in the desert as much as possible. Or in my backyard with our chickens and garden. I love to travel and experience new and different cultures. I'm a beer/wine/whiskey drinker who also loves food (cooking it, eating it, smelling it, whatever). I work in the social services sector for now, and am planning on trying out substitue teaching in the near future. I want to have as many good experiences as possible, so when I check out it's no big deal: the more you live, the less you die.
PHILOSOPHY
The more you live the less you die. I try not to worry too much. There's really no point in it, except to make you miserable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My boyfriend and I are members of warmshowers.com (like couch surfing, but for people on bike tour). We have hosted people from the U.S. as well as from Canada and Japan. I hope to contribute to CS2 in the same way, by sharing my home with people so they can experience Tucson in the best way possible. I also hope to network, as I will be traveling throughout Europe this summer. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no real couchsurfing experience yet. But I'm really looking forward to working on that! I think it's great that organizations exist out there that rely on trust. We need more of that in todays world, where everyone is so suspicious of everyone else.
Interests
I'm pretty much interested in most everything, except bowling and mini-golf. I'm (usually) up for new experiences, as long as they're relatively safe and semi-legal.

Music, Movies, and Books
Man. There is so much amazing stuff out there in the form of movies, music and books, how can you choose just a few? BUT...most anything by Edward Abby, Kurt Vonnegut, Ernest Hemingway, Charles Bukowski, Barbra Kingsolver, to name a few. Ummm, movies? Deadman, Arizona Dream, Arrested Development...and music? Don't ask!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've recently fulfilled a very long desire: to go to Alaska. I spent two months in semi-isolation helping to do commercial salmon fishing in the Bristol Bay, and then took two weeks to explore Alaska's Katmai National Park (some of North America's last wild and pristine wilderness). I've also ridden my bike 2500 miles down the Pacific Coast on a bike tour.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a pretty good understanding of native southwest plants, and I really enjoy learning about herbal and natural healing methods (and then sharing that knowledge).
