About Me
CURRENT MISSION
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I have not lived.” - Thoreau
ABOUT ME
In the Pacific Northwest, certain fungi form mycorrhizal associations with the roots of trees. These fungi form vast subterranean networks of mycelial masses that connect the trees to one another. The fungi import nutrients to the roots and discourage harmful entities from draining the trees. In return the trees give the fungi surplus energy and a healthy dose of positive vibes.
I want to be that fungus.
PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy is best discussed in person. To avoid a mix up or a novel, this is blank.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a couch(it’s even a hide-a-bed) and it’s yours for the night! I am also more familiar with the Oregon State Parks system than I’d like to be if camping’s your deal. I hope to provide more than just a place to crash for travelers. As an outdoor enthusiast and educator I look forward to really getting travelers out and about in the great state of Oregon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed in Colombia and in the Salem area.
Interests
Conversation, walking, hiking, running, harvesting fruits and vegetables, lazily passing time by waterways, gardening, watching the seasons change, climbing things for a view, and dabbling in primitive skills.
